Service Base Manager Full-Time

The Workforce Group, Lda is recruiting to its client, a company that operates in Oil and Gas, one Service Base Manager for Pemba, Mozambique

Job purpose

In charge of all yard management activities, ensuring that all controls and processes are in place to deliver a high level of service.

Leads its team and supervises key contractors to carry out the activities in the yard in line with Vallourec procedures & QHSE rules.

Is responsible for receiving clients visits and audits.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Implements operational process of materials reception, storage, inspection and dispatch;
• Implements collaborative planning, forecasting and stock replenishment, ensures production allocation optimizes load balance, assesses, and minimizes the impact of demand variation on capacity, productivity, and inventory;
• Ensures the QHSE Policy is implemented establishing and reviewing QHSE objectives, defining and implementing action plans for continual improvement of QHSE performance;
• Responsible for all Yard operations including monitoring/spot verification of services provided by Third Parties;
• Ensure training, toolbox meetings, drills, emergency response plans, etc.
• Setting and reporting of operational KPI to measure the performance;
• Interacting with Company Shore Base Manager to properly administrate the execution of the contract;
• Complies with Contractor policies, procedures and management standards and ensure adherence with all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility;
• Setting development plans for the personnel, as well as the goals of each member. Ensure all employees perform the training plans to execute their jobs.

 Skills & Competencies

• Working technical knowledge of OCTG products and connections;
• Preferably possess a minimum five years experience in a supervisory role;
• Computer literate, as will be required to use e-mail, excel & word to compile, produce, monitor and interpret operational data and reports;
• Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills;
• Knowledge, understanding and application of Company QHSE Policies and Procedures;
• Reliable, able to work unsupervised, or co-operatively, within the production team, across the whole organization, and with external customers;
• Possess the ability to supervise effectively, prioritize and co-ordinate multiple tasks, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner;
• Must demonstrate a flexible approach to operational requirements to meet business objectives;
• Able to operate, ensuring the proper use and care of, company plant and equipment, machinery, personal equipment, and tool kit;
• Must demonstrate a flexible and innovative approach to problem solving.

Requirements

• Min 5 years of experience in a similar activity.

Degree in similar area

• Desire to learn;
• Pragmatic and solution oriented minded;
• Fluent in English Portuguese. French is an advantage.
