Save The Children is hiring a Senior Disability Inclusion Technical Specialist.
The Senior Disability Inclusion Technical Specialist will use their in-depth contextual understanding, technical and practical expertise, and relationship building skills to define and deliver our strategic ambition for Disability Inclusion at Save the Children in Mozambique (SCIMOZ). S/He will lead strategy development and the technical design of high-quality programmes that deliver change for children and families with disabilities in both emergency and development programming. S/He supports national advocacy and influencing, while driving strategic partnerships. S/He will support the design and implementation of disability inclusive monitoring and evaluation systems to demonstrate impact, while sharing learning across our programmes, teams and partners. S/He will work closely with Program Operations team and partners, especially those representing organisations of persons with disabilities to build their capacity, sense of ownership and agency of local organisations as well as adults and children with disabilities. S/He includes a focus on external representation on priority issues including disability rights, disability data, meaningful participation of children and adults with disabilities in humanitarian action, disability inclusive in health, nutrition, child protection, climate resilience, education and social protection. In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours, accordingly.
