Project manager Local Full-Time

International cooperation NGO based in Pemba looks for One (1) Project Manager – Local.

Objective of the position

To coordinate the activities of the assigned Project in allits technical-administrativeaspects.

Relations with other offices

Itcollaborates with the other heads of the Unitsbelonging to the area, applying the procedures of the association for writing and managing projects (Project Cycle Management).

Responsabilities

• She/He ensures the correct technical and financial execution of the projects assigned to her/him.

Activities

• She/he coordinates the activities of the assigned project for the pursuit of the objectives in compliance with the times and procedures agreed with thelenders;
• She/He coordinates all phases of the assigned project cycleand relations with the lender and project partners;
• She/he coordinates and produces the intermediate and final technical reports requested by the lender;
• She/he isresponsible for supervising all administrative aspects and collaborates with the Administration and Project Reporting Unit;
• She/heisresponsible for the preparation, in collaboration with the Administration and Project Reporting Unit, of the Chart of Accounts (SAL), using the Association’s internal procedures and formats;
• She/he is responsible for closing the technical and administrative reporting processes of the projects under its responsibility within the timeframe and according to the procedures of the lenders;
• She/he maintains relations with partners under the supervision of the Area manager;
• She/he coordinates the staff involved in various capacities in the project (Project Implementation Unit – PIU), identifying the activities that each person identified must carry out and supervising their work and the achievement of objectives, including through the organization of regular meetings;
• She/he ensures access to project information by all staff;
• She/he isresponsible for preparing TOR for all project staff, consultants and supervises the recruitment process, according to the Association’sinternal procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Knowledge and experience on Project issues;
• Many years of experience in managing complex multidisciplinary projects
• Skills related to technical and administrative reporting of projects;
• Ability to work to objectives and deadlines;
• Ability to manage a team;
• Ability to relate positively to different stakeholders;
• Strong problem-solving skills;
• Willingness to carry out monitoring missions;
• Management autonomy;
• Flexibility, organization and confidentiality;
• Well fluent English spoken and written.
