The Global Edge Consultants is hiring a Payroll & Invoicing Officer to be based in Maputo, Mozambique as part of the financial team of a leading international company.
Responsibilities:
Collect and ensure accuracy of contractors’ timesheets;
Process Payroll including the calculation of bonuses and allowances in PHC ERP software;
Report on payroll expenses;
Ensure wages and tax withholdings comply with local regulations as applicable;
Update new employee’s data on the system;
Advise on compensation, benefits, taxes and insurance deductions, and any other related matters;
Submit Taxes (INSS & IRPS) files for payment;
Maintain employee nominal list updated;
Ensure that Invoices and supporting documents are delivered in a timely fashion manner
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration or any other relevant field is preferred;
Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Payroll Officer, Payroll Clerk or any similar role;
Hands-on experience with PHC and other accounting software;
Strong knowledge of local labor & Tax legislation;
Strong math skills with an ability to spot numerical errors;
Expertise in HR, and Bank sector exposure is a plus;
