Counterpart International is currently seeking an experienced Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) manager for a 5-year USDA McGovern-Dole Food for Education and Child Nutrition Program which aims to reduce hunger and improve literacy and nutrition among school-age students, especially girls, in Maputo Province, Mozambique.
The MEL Manager will manage and advise on all aspects of the MEL systems for the project. They will lead development, implementation, and updates to the MEL plan throughout the life of the program, taking into consideration the complex and shifting environment. The MEL Manager will coordinate closely with Counterpart’s HQ MEL staff, as well as HQ and program technical and operations staff to ensure an integrated and adaptive MEL approach. The MEL Manager will train, supervise, and mentor a small team of MEL staff and will develop and lead the roll out of MEL, tools in close collaboration with other HQ and program staff. They will lead the development and utilization of a centralized project data management system. The MEL Manger will lead routine analysis of monitoring and evaluation data and findings for learning and adaptation; and will present this to senior staff for integration into program implementation.
