Manager Grain Silos – Agricommodities Full-Time

PRI is hiring a Manager Grain Silos – Agricommodities.

Role

The company operates bulk grain silos at 7 locations in Mozambique and the role is for a commercial manager with good organisational skills and proven managerial experience to lead a team. Each location also acts as a depot for agri inputs such as fertilizer, seeds and crop protection chemicals for sale and distribution to farmers and channel sales partners in the vicinity

This position reports directly to the Managing Director and Financial Controller

Function

• General and day-to-day supervision and administration, including but not limited to stock reporting, accounting, statutory record keeping, filings of any obligatory reports and/or returns for all activities and staff at location;
• Be responsible for procurement of agriproduce under guidance of MD, and agri input sales including but not limited to maintaining proper daily records, stocks and movements, and controlling losses / theft by ensuring proper procedures are followed;
• Work closely with Financial Controller and Head Accountant on all matters related to finance and accounts, prepare budgets and cash flow forecasting, analysis of performance with budget, cost control;
• Expand procurement network of agri-commodities;
• Supervise and guide agri inputs team and promote sales of fertilizer and other inputs;
• Ensure daily update of proprietary stock system is carried out accurately;
• Build and maintain harmonious relationships with local governmental authorities and labour, including ensuring necessary permissions, licenses, registrations required are kept current;
• Ensure compliance of all legal, labor and finance provisions as per Mozambique laws;
• Recruit, supervise and train personnel for all operations;
• Ability to work under pressure.

Requirements

• Minimum five years work experience in similar role;
• Proven administrative experience;
• Resource and human resources budget management (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources);
• Knowledge of quality, inventory and storage of agri produce;
• Proficiency in Excel and reporting;
• Strong team building, decision making and people management skills;
• Bachelor’s /degree in Business Administration or related field;
• Prior experience in Krishi Samriddhi Centres is a plus;
• High level of honesty and integrity are a must.
