Job Description

Coca – Cola Beverages Africa has an exciting vacancy of Management Accountant at one of our Mozambique Bottlers – Matola Plant, leading producer of various flavors in Mozambique for the last 25 years. This is a permanent position that reports directly to the Financial Business Support Manager with no subordinates reporting to this position. The incumbent will be responsible to monitor the daily performance of volume, revenues, discount, forex impact and COE expenses and report deviations to managers for corrective measures.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare forward-looking statement reports (REs): prepare and coordinate the submission of statements for all functions and highlighting implications and driving for better performance;
• Prepare multi-annual budgets: coordinate, consolidate and conduct the process in line with the company’s strategic metrics;
• Monitor and manage operating costs: lead and drive cost management initiatives, including coordinating with managers in identifying cost optimization opportunities;
• Prepare profitability by product: calculate the profitability of the different products and monitor the discount levels by product;
• Provide financial support: provide financial support to different departments in the decision-making and cost management process;
• Prepare the simulation of forex impact: prepare simulations of the exchange rate impact on the results and report to the strategic decision-making managers (level of prices, costs, volume of strategic sales);
• Manage the Working Capital (WC): monitor the working capital and return cash flows;
• Make interim end-of-month reports: consolidate and present weekly and monthly reports;
• Support during the external and internal audit process: coordinate with the audit teams during the external and internal audit process on understanding movements in Revenues, Discounts, Adjustments, Costs (COGs & COEs), Amortizations, Forex, Interest and Taxes;
• Deep knowledge of accounting and of international financial reporting standards.

Skills, Experience & Education

• Honors Degree in Business Management, Accounting and Audit, Economy or related fields;
• 3-years of work experience on this role or similar position;
• Computer literacy essential -Microsoft packages and SAP;
• Deep knowledge of accounting and of international financial reporting standards;
• Self-motivated with high energy level and able to identify process optimization opportunities;
• Proficiency on Portuguese and English languages.
