The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is seeking a highlight motivated individual with experience in supporting international development projects to join the Behaviour Change Unit as a Junior Associate. This role is based in Mozambique, working from our partner offices in Nampula province.
GAIN is a Swiss-based foundation launched at the UN in 2002 to tackle the human suffering caused by malnutrition. Working with both governments and businesses, we aim to transform food systems so that they deliver more nutritious food for all people. In particular, we aim to make healthier food choices more desirable, more available, and more affordable. GAIN’s mission is to advance nutrition outcomes by improving consumption of nutritious and safe food for all people, especially those most vulnerable to malnutrition.
Reporting to the Transforming Nutrition (TN) and Collaborating, Learning and Adapting (CLA) Coordinatror, the Junior Associate will support the implementation of several donor funded nutrition projects in Nampula.
Role specifics include;
You will need to have a solid understanding of project management principles as well as experience in effective networking and communication with partners. You should be motivated to deliver against agreed project milestones and be able to demonstrate great organisational skills to manage your workload. You musty have experience working in the international development sector, preferably with a focus on nutrtion and / or education.
