PRI is hiring a HSE Manager based in Montepuez.
Our client is looking for an HSE Manager to join their team.
Role Purpose
Maintain a fit for purpose Health, Safety and Environment and Emergency Management (HSE) Management System aligned to operational requirements. Provide ongoing visible leadership with respect to HS, support others to comply, hold leaders to account and be the key driver of a “Zero Harm” at all times culture.
Competencies and Qualifications
- Engineering degree minimum and Tertiary level education in Health, Safety, Environment or equivalent
- NEBOSH International Diploma; Occupational Safety and Health Management, General Certificate and or SAMTRAC plus Environmental Engineering,
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Frontline HSE Mining or heavy industry.
- Investigation Training Qualifications – Taproot, ICAM or equivalent.
- Proven exposure to IMS of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards systems and processes.
- High level of verbal communication in both English and Portuguese.
- Strong interpersonal, facilitation, presentation and report writing skills.
- Ability to work cohesively with and influence other stakeholders.
- Exposure and understanding of relevant Mozambican legislation and regulations.
- Certified Internal Auditor (highly desirable).
- Advanced Certificate in Mine Emergency Response and critical Rescue Operations.
