Grants Coordinator Full-Time

NORWEGIAN REFUGEE COUNCIL (NRC) is recruiting a Grants Coordinator Mozambique, based in Pemba, Job -05- Cabo Delgado.

Scope of position

The purpose of the Grants Coordinator position is to provide essential grant management support in delivering quality programmes in line with the NRC CO strategy and Plan of Action

Required

Qualifications/Experience

• Degree in Finance, Economics, other related areas.

Professional Competencies for this position:

• Between 3-5 years of relevant experience within the field of expertise
• Relevant experience in project management in the humanitarian sector
• Experience working with humanitarian and development donors
• Good understanding of donor rules and regulations
• Skills and experience in report and proposal writing
• Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills (data and financial)
• Ability to mediate in high-stress scenarios with competing interest
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Above average computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Context related skills, knowledge, and experience:

• Knowledge of the humanitarian and security context in Cabo Delgado required
• Fluency in Portuguese and at least one local language of Cabo Delgado desired
• Ability to work diligently both independently and in a team setting required
• Willingness to travel regularly to the field in under-resourced settings required
• Experience liaising with multiple stakeholders including government, donor, UN, and NGO partners an asset
• Experience with strategic development, including proposal and budget creation desired
• Experience with project/programme start-up/scale-up an asset
• Understanding of SPHERE and INEE Minimum Standards preferred
• Candidates with a university and/or advanced degree preferred; significant experience in grants management considered in lieu
