The Norwegian Council Refugee is hiring an Emergency Response Officer for Mueda in Cabo Delgado.
Job Description
Adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures;
Support and contribute to the development of a data management system through supporting the development of data collection systems and tools and implement M&E tools for emergency response activities;
Support in developing data collection methodology and tools using KOBO platform, and in actual data collection, as needed;
Supporting and participating in analytical work by processing data and information in a suitable format;
Working with the M&E team in order to produce reports, maps and charts from the data based on planning and reporting tools in use in the Area;
Promoting the adoption of Information Management tools and techniques by emergency response staff.
Responsibilities
Support in developing data collection methodology and tools, and in actual data collection, as needed using KOBO platform;
Ensure that monitoring data are reported on a timely manner to relevant program and managerial staff, 4Ws, weekly reports;
Promoting the collection of baseline data and indicators;
Support document alerts of the humanitarian surveillance system;
Support produce reports and information sheets on emergency response activities;
Support the improvement and use the rapid response mechanism tools;
Support Emergency Response activities in the field.
Qualifications
University Degree in Civil Statistics, Economics, IT or related field;
Desirable minimum 3 years of project implementation in humanitarian/recovery contexts;
Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts;
Technical experience in emergency response activities;
Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities;
Good command of English desirable;
Strong knowledge of MS package (Word, Excel…) and Kobo;
Good command of local languages spoken in Northern Cabo Delgado, especially Mueda, is a strong asset.
