Solidar Suisse is hiring a Director of Programme Department based in Chimoio.
Solidar Suisse is committed to decent work and democratic participation in the poorest countries of Africa and
Latin America, as well as in countries of Eastern Europe and Asia. We also provide disaster relief and
humanitarian aid. Solidar is a Swiss based organization active in Mozambique since 37 years. It has its main
office in Chimoio (Manica province) and is working mainly in the central region (provinces of Manica, Sofala,
Tete, Zambezia). Solidar Suisse focusses on three main domains 1. Economy and Work; 2. Democracy and
Civil Society, and 3. Disasters and Crisis.
The Director of Programme for Solidar Suisse will have the responsibility of the programmes and projects in
Mozambique. She/he will be responsible for the entire Solidar Suisse programme and the project cycle
management in all three mentioned domains. She/he is responsible for providing strategic guidance, for the
project definition, the outcomes and outputs, the monitoring, and the reporting. She/he is responsible for the
effective and efficient management of the projects and related allocation of human and financial resources.
He/she is responsible for the management of all the staff in the Programme Department (currently 11 staff).
She/he will supervise in close collaboration with the Finance Department the finance management (budget,
expenses, financial reporting and accompany audits) of all the progammes and projects of Solidar Suisse in
Mozambique.
