DevTech is seeking a full-time Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) for USAID’s Local Governance Strengthening (LOGOS) program in Mozambique. The DCOP will be representing the COP in Maputo and will provide daily, routine supervision of Maputo-based staff, attend routine, ad hoc, and high-level meetings, and may be called on when it is impractical for the Chief of Party to respond to urgent matters stemming from Maputo. They will extensively work in collaboration with government ministries, subnational government entities, parliament, international donors in Mozambique. The successful candidate will function as the regular point of contact with USAID. In addition to this, the DCOP will be expected to build and motivated the team in Maputo, ensure teamwork, and serve as quality control for activities in Maputo.
The DCOP will provide leadership or co-leadership role for activities in his/her own technical area. The DCOP will be the outward face of LOGOS, linking Government of Mozambique with USAID, and serve as the regular point of contact with USAID. The DCOP will be reporting to the COP while supervising the Maputo Office Staff and the STTA as assigned to specific tasks
