We share the conviction that every girl has the right to lead the life that she chooses and that, by ending child marriage, we can achieve a safer, healthier and more prosperous future for all. Girls Not Brides members bring child marriage to global attention, build an understanding of what it will take to end child marriage and call for laws, policies and programmes that will make a difference in the lives of millions of girls.
The consultancy
Girls Not Brides are working on an exciting opportunity to co-create safeguarding mechanisms with our National Partnerships and Coalitions. We want to create contextualised safeguarding products of the highest standard and share these resources across our membership.
In recent years, there has been an increased international focus on safeguarding best practice and gaps in high standards. There remains variety in practice relating to safeguarding in communications, conceptualisation of safeguarding and easily accessible, usable, and translated best practice guidelines, and particularly in relation to safeguarding and child marriage. Through this project, we are looking to build on our existing safeguarding work through collaboration and co-creation of key safeguarding structures within our community to co-create contextualised pieces.
Within this consultancy, you will be working with our Safeguarding Manager and key personnel from our National Partnership in Mozambique to co-design training, standards and potentially other safeguarding products. These resources will build on a rights-based, pro-participation approach to safeguarding, putting survivors at the centre of all that we do. The resources will be shared across our Partnership and coalitions to provide examples and guidance for contextualised approaches to safeguarding.
