Communication Facilitator for the program IWRM Full-Time

The IWRM Fund Manage is hiring a Communication Facilitator for the program IWRM.

Introduction

The IWRM Fund Manager is looking for a creative and dynamic young professional willing to join its team to support the development of various Mozambican public sector institutions in the water sector.

The position does not require to be permanently based in Maputo but approximately 25% of the work will require presence in Maputo.

Tasks

Under the supervision of the Fund Manager Secretariat, the ideal candidate will:

• Contribute to the formulation of a communication strategy for the program;
• Contribute to the implementation of the strategy;
• Design and prepare the project’s web page and media’s identity;
• Act as animator and facilitator of the programs working groups;
• Support the Fund Manager team in editing and revising program documentation;
• Support the beneficiary institution to prepare visual and audio-visual content for the program;
• Translations English/portuguese and text revision.

Minimum experience required

• 5 years of professional/volunteer experience in academic, associative or private sector environment;
• 3 years of community and media management experience in Mozambique or equivalent context;
• 2 demonstrable contributions to the preparation and implementation of communication strategies in a multicultural environment;
• Experience in project management and/or the water sector will be an asset.

Desirable skills

• Excellent written communication skills in Portuguese, English will be an asset;
• Excellent social media management and remote communication skills;
• Good reporting and text editing skills;
• Web design, photo editing, audiovisual content creation at proficiency user level;
• Capacity to share knowledge through remote working tools;
• Capacity to design and conduct remote enquiry tools;
• Knowledge of Project Management will be an asset.

Working ethics

The ideal candidate will be autonomous, responsible, methodical and pragmatic. Will be willing to share its knowledge and open to report about problems identified during the implementation of its tasks.

Working package proposed

• The Fund manager proposes a part time position as a consultant in an experienced professional environment, mostly through remote working;
• After an initial immersion period of approximately 3 months, the estimated dedicated effort is the equivalent of 3 working days per week;
• The probatory period will have a maximum duration of 6 calendar months;
• The services can be extended up to 2 years depending on project progress;
• A monthly fee of 1.200 USD/month will be adapted according to the experience and demonstrable skills of the ideal candidate;
• The working package will ensure additional 300 USD/month to ensure IT tools, e-office space and other resources to perform the necessary tasks.
