ELIM seeks candidates for Collaborating, Learning and Adapting (CLA) Specialists to join teams for the implementation of upcoming USAID-funded programming activities in Mozambique. These positions are contingent upon donor award.
ELIM Serviços Lda (ELIM) is a market research and development consultancy focused on the design, implementation, and measurement of socio-economic interventions for sustainable growth.
Established in Maputo in 2007, we have implemented projects in every Mozambican province and have worked in Angola, Botswana, Kenya, South Africa, and Tanzania. We are driven by a vision to strengthen Africa’s rural communities and local enterprises to foster inclusive benefit of the Continent’s economic growth opportunities. We do so by partnering with funders and implementers of development interventions to model sustainable solutions that adequately respond to the development challenges hindering Africa’s growth.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) anticipates funding a series of five-year activities in Mozambique to facilitate the development of inclusive, resilient, and sustainable market systems in northern Mozambique. The activities will use the market systems approach and will focus on minimizing barriers that disadvantage the vulnerable, women and youth and exclude them from economic opportunities and building resilience to economic and climatic shocks. This activity is anticipated to cover a combination of staple and high value crops.

The Collaborating, Learning and Adapting (CLA) Specialist will report to the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager. S/He should possess keen research and report-writing skills, excellent communication, high concentration levels, good task management, and superior problem solving and critical thinking skills. S/He will work on a variety of areas, including facilitation of collaborative efforts across technical teams to develop a learning agenda, and to package and document evidence and learning from project activities to inform project approaches/workplans, adaptive management strategies, and collaboration with other programs. The Collaborating, Learning and Adapting (CLA) Specialist must demonstrate a strong ability to work in a diverse team and engage external stakeholders, both local and international, in accordance with corporate expectations.
