Civil Planning Engineer at Global Edge

The Global Edge is hiring a Civil Planning Engineer based in Afungi.

Create, maintain, review and administer construction schedules and plans;
Liaising with Managers and Engineers to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise;
Liaise with Subcontractors and Suppliers to organize the phases of the construction development.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil) is required;
Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience in General Civil Construction Projects;
Previous experience in similar or associated roles;
Experience in planning construction work activities in Project(s).
Good knowledge of Planning processes, systems and documentation flows and requirements;
Able to work independently internally and externally to the organization, while keeping his/her direct supervisor informed and involved at key decision points.
Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines;
Able to summarize, organize and provide regular report of activities and progress to direct supervisor;
Experience in Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel) and / or other relevant planning information systems;
MS Project and/or Primavera needed;
Problem solving skills;
Fluent Oral and Written Knowledge of English and Portuguese required.
