The project Reconstruir, funded by USAID’s Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance (BHA), will provide nearly 40,000 people displaced by violence in Cabo Delgado with the tools, capacity, and resources to rebuild their lives and livelihoods in an environment with protection from gender based violence (GBV) and support to recover from trauma. The project will provide livelihood restoration and financial services in resettlement sites in Cabo Delgado and Nampula and will introduce CARE’s proven village savings and loan association (VSLA) model as a critical support avenue to restore and stabilize the livelihoods of IDPs.
The Reconstruir Project Manager (PM) position will be responsible to provide overall leadership, day to day management and staff and partner coordination to ensure the implementation of the project and the achievement of all targets on time and within budget. The project manager will ensure alignment with BHA and CARE programming principles, standards, and approved technical approaches. She/he will develop annual implementation plans, allocate appropriate resources to accomplish the plan, hires and supervises staff and subgrantee partners and ensures that an appropriate monitoring system is in place to track progress in spending and activity implementation. He/she will serve as the main representative of the project and will be responsible to establish and maintain strong working relationships with key government, donor and partner stakeholders.
