Summary of Job Description

Project Management

• Ensure Early Recovery Project funded by FAO under Emergence Response Program Framework is timely and quality implemented;
• Develop implementation strategy for smooth operation of the project;
• Identify, analyze and highlight issues of cyclone affected population, excluded and vulnerable families;
• Ensure participation of girls, young women from rural community to contribute in economic and social activities;
• Contribute in developing to technical capacity of community groups and members for increasing farm based production.

Gender analysis

• Ensure gender/social analysis, gender dis aggregated data and information, gender specific objectives and indicators in need identification, planning and Project Outline.

Ensure effective monitoring, accountability and knowledge sharing

• Visit project sites and monitor program/projects and submits visit reports;
• Review project documents and progress reports ensuring timely implementation of activities;
• Monitor budget spending on theme, facilitate higher spending and ensure timely settlement;
• Document best practices, learning and success stories for shared learning.

Undertake Corporate Responsibility

• Respect organizational values and comply with its Conduct, Policies and Standards;
• Maintain confidentiality of all critical and sensitive information of the organization;
• Undertake any assigned responsibility when delegated.

• At least Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/ Natural Resource/ Agricultural Economics or relevant field;
• Minimum 4 years’ relevant work experience in livelihood/food security with good understanding of contemporary issues.

Experience in working in humanitarian sector

• Proven experience in coordination, liaison and networking managing teams, finance and other critical management domains;
• INGO work experience preferred​​​​​​​.

Generic

• Clear  understanding of the humanitarian sector;
• Understanding and knowledge of humanitarian issues, approaches and tools;
• Clear in-depth technical and practical knowledge and understanding of the relevant job domain;
• Knowledge & understanding of Plan’s vision, mission values.

Function Specific

• Knowledge on principles and best practices in livelihoods programming and implementation approaches in a range of diverse geographical and community groups;
• Understanding project development and management in participatory process;
• Different options and possibilities of program and financial operations.
