Financial Manager Full-Time

Role

The Financial Manager will be responsible for responsible for audit coordination, Taxation, Joint Venture activities, managing Budgets and cost control activities. Finance manager responsibilities include also establishing procedures and advise senior management on matters under his responsibility.

Audit

• Prepare the coordination Joint Venture Partner audits, Statutory, Cost Recovery and Tax audits;
• Ensure timely provision and responses to the information requests;
• Follow up of all audit enquiries and ensure closure of open findings;
• Prepare responses for notifications issued by the Tax Authority.

Taxes

• Review information support for the monthly filling of indirect taxes;
• Review the corporate income tax filling and engage with internal and external stakeholders for sign-off prior to filing.

Joint Venture

• Prepare the monthly Joint Interest Billing (JIB) and cash calls to Partners in accordance to the JOA;
• Prepare the responses to provide on Partners enquiries in relation to JIB and Cash calls;
• Prepare and cost recovery reports in line with the requirements of the EPCC;
• Prepare materials for the Accounting subcommittee, and when applicable, report the result of Partner interactions to the OCM.

Budgets and Cost control

• Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecast for in country operations;
• Prepare the submission of Budgets and its revisions to the Regulatory Authority;
• Prepare long range budgets for the assigned budget areas;
• Safeguarding and control of company fixed assets.

Other

• Review Area 1 LNG Project contracts and provide input on accounting and financial matters;
• Perform General Leader accounts reconciliation;
• Ensure implementation of new projects or entitie.

Profile

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Finance or Accounting, with experience in Mining or Oil and Gas industries;
• Proven working experience as Accounting Manager or Finance Manager;
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS;
• Experience with SAP JVA;
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations;
• Direct and supervise, High attention to detail and accuracy;
• Good understanding of EP Business specificities (contractual framework, field operations…);
• Strong planning, organizational, interpersonal skills;
• Fluent English mandatory, Portuguese will be highly appreciated.
