Financial & Administrative Manager Full-Time

Our client, based in Matola, Mozambique,  is an established logistics service brand with 15 years’ experience in storage and goods handling. The service offering includes warehousing, transport, distribution and cold store facilities.

The cpmpany is a subsidiary of a large South African group which invests in and manages a portfolio of companies offering a range of quality products, value-added products and related services in fresh produce and logistics internationally.

Mission/purpose of position:

Planning, organizing, directing and controlling the activities of the various areas of administrative support and the financial area of the company and subsidiaries by setting policies for management of available financial resources, structuring, rationalization, and fitness administrative support services, advising the Executive management and Board of Directors of the company in pre-defined goals.

Key functions:

• Prepare financial and treasury reports, forecasts and deviations to budget;
• Define policies and strategies for the financial and administrative management;
• Prepare and monitor budgets of the company and the risk management in various investments and day to day operations;
• Develop and verify the business plans;
• Coordinate the activities of the Board and assess the financial condition of the company;
• Participate in activities relating to the company’s strategic planning’;
• Negotiate directly with financial institutions;
• Lead the preparation of the financial reports of the company;
• Analyse the contracts signed with third parties with regard to tax implications;
• Ensure that the company complies with all fiscal assumptions and taxes due to the State;
• Request or perform periodic audits on the accounts of the company;
• Manage and optimise the working capital requirements of the company and its subsidiaries to maximise shareholder wealth;
• Manage and oversee the external and internal audit engagements within the company and its subsidiaries;
• Perform other job-related professional tasks, at the discretion of the supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in business administration and finance, accounting, management or economics or related field;
• Minimum of 8 years in large Corporate environment and at least 3 years in leadership positions in accounting and financial processes.

Remuneration in Meticals, equivalent to USD 4000 pm Cost to Company.
