Founded in 1985 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit in New York City, PCI Media is an international NGO with over three decades of experience designing and implementing Social and Behavior Change Communications campaigns at the local, national, regional and global levels in health, social justice and environment sectors. Our headquarters and field offices (in St. Lucia, Bolivia, Peru and Mozambique) collaborate with implementers from civil society groups and funding partners from UN agencies, government and foundations. We build local communication capacity, and use mass, social, community and trans-media applications that allow for distribution of information, education and entertainment content to large audiences in many countries.
USAID funded the Media Support Program from 2012 with the overall objective of a free, open, diverse and self-sustaining Mozambican media sector providing high quality information to all citizens that promote debate, accountability and development. Now USAID intends to continue this support over the next five years, with particular attention being paid to: supporting the community radio sector; and strengthening urban independent media sustainability. This will be conducted through a Co-operative Agreement with a value of approximately $10 million. The Finance and Grants Director (FGD) will be based full-time in Maputo, Mozambique and will report to the project’s Chief of Party. The position is contingent on funding and final award by USAID.
Along with a detailed resume, please send a cover letter that explains your interest in the Finance and Grants Director position, and the relevant experience you have. Please include three references.
