The F & A Specialist will provide financing, operations, and administrative support to the project as directed. The F & A Specialist reports to the Country Project Director, but will have a line of technical / functional reports for the Kenya F & A Manager. This position will work closely with the Kenya M & A Manager and his staff in key office functions, including accurate accounting record keeping in the MSH financial management system, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of deposits and payments, perhaps necessary to perform some level of monthly reconciliation of accounts. will apply the MSH rules and regulations and donors related to finance, operations, procurement contracts and support, comply with MSH procedures for finance, procurement and MSH administrative procedures and actively support any internal and external audits as needed and work closely with Kenya. The Finance and Administration Specialist (F & A) ensures the smooth operation of the office’s financial and administrative operations, including office management systems, tools and services; accounting, financial reporting and budget management, training logistics and workshop planning; safety; Conduct the procurement of goods and services accordingly, manage fleet management needs and provide support for international travel and the country.
He / she ensures that administrative management and program support are conducted in accordance with MSH policy, MSH standard operating procedures, and donor regulations and good business practices. Includes RP review area, provides guidance for event budget development, daily calculation, record keeping, organization of workshops, training events, seminar and meetings (in and out of the office) with counterparts and stakeholders in activities.
