Environmental and Social Manager for Hydropower Project Full-Time

We are seeking a highly qualified Environmental and Social (E&S) Manager for a hydro-power project located in Tete.

Requirements

• Fixed-term role for a 1-year period.
• Based in Tete, with the possibility of rotation from Maputo.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Undergraduate degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field.
• Over 15 years of experience in E&S management, with exposure to Mozambique, South Africa, or the Southern African region.
• Proven experience in managing E&S studies and surveys, and in developing E&S management systems to support project development.
• Managerial or leadership experience in hydro-power projects is highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Mozambique’s regulatory frameworks and international standards such as IFC, WB, and EP.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese; Proficiency in French is an added advantage.
