Oversee the management of the Northern Mozambique displacement response in Nampula, and Cabo Delgado, ensuring response activities are in line with Plan International’s standard policies and procedures. Lead and manage rapid needs assessments in the northern displacement, ensuring a clear focus on the specific needs of children and particularly girls. Based on the outcome of the needs assessments provide recommendations to the Country Director and senior management team on programming options and priorities. Support the selection of local partner organisations, ensuring alignment with Plan International’s approach and programming priorities in humanitarian crises. Support programme technical specialists to ensure programmes are of high quality and have direct positive impact on children affected by crises. Ensure appropriate programme quality standards are used in the design and implementation of programmes, particularly SPHERE and its companion guides (such as Child Protection Minimum Standards and Minimum Standards for Education Preparedness, Response and Recovery (INEE)) and the Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS). Overall responsibility for preparation of quality reports and updates on the northern displacement for different Plan Entities and external actors such as donors, UN. Develop an appropriate grant pipeline in collaboration with BDM at Country Office. Work closely with BDM to develop appropriate funding submissions to institutional donors.
