EHOD: Regional Operations Full-Time

Role purpose

The Head of Regional Operations will be instrumental in leading our sales operations across the regions. You will drive the growth of both our telecom and fintech services, focusing on expanding our market share, driving revenue growth, crafting strategic sales plans, and leading a dynamic team to exceed sales targets. Your leadership will ensure efficiency and excellence in execution of commercial activities in the regions.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

• Full accountability for the develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets, adoption of products by customers and expanding our customer base.
• Plan and oversee on-the-ground execution across all regions. Working with all regional EHODs and TMs to form and follow a proper on-ground execution process and standardized ways of working that will ensure excellence in operations.
• Engage with all regional stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination in implementation approaches aiming at maximizing efficiency.
• Evaluate and oversee activation campaigns to boost on ground brand visibility and product uptake, coordinating with marketing and other teams.
• Through regional EHODs provide on ground support of relationship management with third-party dealers, airtime and mobile money distributors, retail store operators, Government, local communities and any other key stakeholder management that might be required.
• Perform regular market visit to the regions to identify areas to improve and best practices to be replicated in other regions.
• Ensure continuous monitoring of competitor initiatives in the regions and report findings to the product development and marketing teams to inform strategic decision-making and development of effective marketing strategies.
• Collaborate with the network team to plan and enhance site coverage and capacity, identify gaps in network coverage, report incidents, and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Drive the timely implementation of all regional related offers/products in HQ.
• Support regional teams on all issues that needs to be addressed at HQ.

• Successful previous experience as head of sales operations/ sales and distribution/ Regional operations. Consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
• Strong ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills and an ability to assimilate complex data and information from disparate sources.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills in Portuguese/English or both.
• Willing to travel across regions to drive sales initiatives, monitor market trends, and support team members directly on the ground.

Must have technical/ professional qualifications

• Degree on Business Management, Sales, Marketing or related field.
• Further diplomas and certificates on, Distribution, Retails, Marketing will be an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years professional experience on large Telecom company or a large FMCG.
