EHOD: Ethics & Compliance Full-Time

Role purpose:

 To ensure that Vodacom Mozambique maintains high standards of corporate governance with respect to general legal and policy compliance, compliance with the company code of conduct, and compliance with laws relating to anti-corruption, money laundering, terrorist financing (anti-CMT), trade and Sanctions and privacy.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

• Ensuring compliance with laws, policies and procedures, the code of conduct and ethical standards;
• Conducting country and company risk assessments in compliance areas;
• Establishing, implementing and improving company policies, codes and procedures in the light of applicable laws as amended from time to time;
• Providing training and advice to staff and business partners in respect of governance issues, particularly those relating to compliance and ethics;
• Overseeing due diligences of high risk potential business partners and due diligence reviews of existing business partners;
• Drafting clauses in contracts and other documents that ensure compliance with applicable laws and Vodacom policy standards;
• Liaising and cooperating with external stakeholders engaged in preventing and combating CMT and promoting compliance in other areas;
• Assisting with compliance reviews and preliminary investigations of possible violations of internal policies, codes and procedures, as well applicable anti-CMT and other laws and standards;
• Privacy and Data Protection;
• Reporting.
