This is a seconded position to the five-year, USAID-funded Quality Health initiative, implemented by a consortium led by FHI360. The Advisor will work under the day-to-day direction of FHI360’s Chief of Party, while reporting to the Viamo Country Representative in Mozambique.
The Quality Health Initiative will support the Government of Mozambique to prevent maternal, neonatal, and child mortality. The project will partner with Nampula Province to establish the province as a model for improving provision and increasing utilization of high-quality, high-impact, patient-centered MNCH health services.
Viamo will provide both technical expertise as well as digital solutions for the project to enhance the effectiveness of the activities. Specifically, Viamo will leverage mobile technology to improve supervision and mentoring of health providers, to generate demand and increase outreach from facilities to communities with social behavior change communication (SBCC), to establish accountability mechanisms, and support improved data for decision-making.
