WeWorld has been working in Mozambique since 2000 in the field of education, food security and economic development, climate change resilience and DRR. Its interventions are currently benefiting the provinces of Maputo, Zambezia, Manica, Cabo Delgado, Nampula and Tete, with a focus on humanitarian aid action in Northern provinces. WeWorld intervened to assist the populations affected by Idai and Kenneth cyclones (2019) and in response to COVID-19 pandemic (2020) and is committed to strengthen social cohesion and peacebuilding in Cabo Delgado and Nampula provinces (since 2022). At present, our main donors in the country are the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), EU, UNICEF, WFP, and the Swiss Cooperation.
The Country Representative is based in the country for which he/she is the legal representative and head of mission of the organization. He/she reports to the Head of Regional Unit.

Type of contract: a first 6 (six) month collaboration contract subject to verification of the achievement of specific objectives (these objectives will be agreed upon arrival on assignment); a second collaboration contract of 6 (six) months renewable.
Economic conditions: to be defined according to WeWorld Expatriates Compensation Policy: Base Salary (seniority/role held) + Contributions (role complex and hardship based on place of work; housing; children’s allowances).
Annual leave: 2,5 days/month (working days)
Flight ticket: one return flight every 12 months of contract
