Country Manager Full-Time

We are seeking a Country Manager to join our diverse team in Mozambique. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of our catering and hospitality services division.

Financial Oversight and Reporting

• Account for and report financial performance to the head office of RA Facilities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial documentation.
• Monitor financial flows, including customer payments, supplier payment terms, and local accounting practices.
• Ensure compliance with budgetary requirements and analyses variances in financial performance.

Operational Management

• Collaborate closely with Heads of Departments and project management teams at RA Facilities to support ongoing projects and operational initiatives.
• Ensure efficient management of staff resources, stocks, and food costs across all sites in alignment with organizational goals.
• Key Result: Maintain operational efficiency and reduce costs by 30% through effective resource management within the first fiscal year.

Market Analysis and Business Development

• Analyses financial and operational results in terms of volume, margin, market share, and sales performance, providing insights for strategic decision-making within RA Facilities.
• Identify trends and opportunities in the market, working collaboratively with the Business Development team to expand the customer base.

Administrative Compliance and Documentation

• Ensure adherence to administrative requirements in accordance with country rules and regulations applicable to RA Facilities.
• Manage and submit weekly and monthly financial documentation, including cash book positions, bank statements, unpaid supplier listings, and food cost statements, as per established timelines.

Training and Leadership Development

• Train and mentor site managers and operational staff on standards of operational management and internal controls to enhance team performance at RA Facilities.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence throughout the organization.

Sustainability and Corporate Responsibility

• Drive sustainability initiatives alongside the CSR team and SDG Workgroups at RA Facilities, identifying and implementing opportunities for sustainable practices.
• Report on sustainability achievements and integrate them into business operations to enhance corporate responsibility.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years working experience within the field of the degree.
• Preferably a management level experience in an international environment, with strong leadership skills.
• Experience or knowledge of budgets and P&L.
• Preferred professional background from IFM, Life Support Services, Construction or similar industry.
• Fluency in English and/or French with working knowledge in one or more United Nations Official languages.
