Cost Controls Specialist Full-Time

Overview

The Cost Control Specialist is an experienced professional individual contributor with specialized knowledge and skills in Cost Controls. The position will report directly to the Project Controls Manager and routinely interacts with the Project Management Team on site.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing all cost control requirements on the project.
• Participate in cost forecast review sessions of the project with PMT.
• Preparation of conformed estimates from the as-sold estimates developed by Estimating.
• Support project team on change management.
• Participate and contribute in the risks and opportunities workshops.
• Advises Project Management of forecast risks as soon as they are identified.
• Analyze cost and schedule data and recommend solutions or recovery plans as required.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and adherence to internal controls and procedures.
• Advises Project Management of forecast risks as soon as they are identified.
• Required to update on a regular basis all required reports to client.
• Collaboration with Finance/ Accounting on financial reporting.
• Support internal cost control deliverables and regional reporting.
• Other tasks as required including but not limited to training, time keeping, administration support etc.

Local Requirements

• The role is rotational-based.
• It operates on a single status (i.e., not family-accompanied).
• The location is the Afungi site.

Qualifications

• Quantity Surveying or Engineering Diploma/ Degree or equivalent.
• 4+ years of relevant EPC experience in the Oil & Gas/ Energy/ Petrochemical Industry.
• Equivalent years of experience with Cost Control and Forecasting.
• Working knowledge of different contract forms such as FIDIC, NEC etc.
• Intermediate to advanced level in MS applications such as Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
• Familiar with JDE or similar.
