Corporate Affairs Manager Full-Time

PHCC is recruiting for one of its client, a Corporate Affairs Manager to be based in Maputo:

Purpose of the Position:

• The purpose of the role is to promote and protect organizational reputation in the Mozambican market;
• To provide a full communications service to the divisions, delivering internal and external communication channels to achieve Business objectives.

Strategy and Execution Tasks:

• Develop and implement a Corporate Affairs strategy in Mozambique aligned with overall Group Corporate Affairs strategy

Operations Deliverables Tasks:

• Oversee CSI initiatives in Mozambique to drive awareness of the positive local contribution made.

Crisis and issue management:

• Support in situations that may threaten company reputation, image and/or financial stability;
• Proactively manage business risks through selected media and stakeholder relations and ensure quick and effective responses to issues.

Reputation management

• Manage the company corporate reputation;
• Identify and prioritize reputation risks;
• Conduct stakeholder perception audits;
• Stakeholder relations and corporate communications;
• Oversee company stakeholder identification and rollout of engagement plans;
• Build credibility, equity and trust with stakeholder groups;
• Oversee communications;
• Design and manage all Corporate Communication for business to enhance profile.

Qualifications and Experience

• BA in Communications or Media. Relevant Post-Graduate Diplomas would be beneficial;
• Communications campaigns that made real impact;
• Good understanding of the video entertainment business would be advantageous;
• 8 – 10 years of experience in a similar role;
• Good understanding of media landscape in Mozambique
