Contracts Administrator Full-Time

Job Description

SUMMARY

The Contract Administrator will be based in Afungi, Mozambique and the successful candidate will have a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant contracts and procurement experience within Oil & Gas or any other large multinational projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Engineering or related field is required;
• Fluent in English and Portuguese
• Experience negotiating, drafting, and managing complex contracts / procurement for large, multi-national projects;
• Proven ability to manage contractors / suppliers to ensure value delivery to the Project;
• Demonstrated track record of implementing strong governance systems within the Contracts and Procurement function;
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure Initial review of all Payment Applications once Work is confirmed by Site Construction Team;
• Prepare and negotiate Change Order;
• Monitor the validity and adequacy of all required Bonds, Insurances and Guarantees;
• Advise Construction Team on contractual disputes and mitigate resolution with Contractors;
• Coordinate and prepare completion certificates for all Work;
• Update management and project Legal on all claims received and potential areas at risk for claims;
• Ensure close-out of all Service Orders, Purchase Orders and Contracts associated with the Resettlement Process as well as Site Improvements Work as required;
• Log and manage the flow of Technical Queries (TQs) and RFIs between the project and Contractors;
• Liaise with the project Site Team, RP Manager and the project Legal to assimilate all relevant information to substantiate back charges and or liquidated damages;
• Upon final acceptance, prepare Contract close out performance evaluation report and manage contract document handover and archiving.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position based at the Afungi Pioneer camp on a rotational schedule (28 days on, 28 days off)
