Compliance Officer Full-Time

The African Century Real Estate is hiring a HSE/ISO Compliance Officer.

Role

The HSE/ISO Compliance Officer will be based in Palma and Pemba working for ACRE, its subsidiaries and other ACRE related companies in Mozambique.

Main Responsibilities

a) ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 Implementation:

• Observing current procedures and identifying gaps for the Implementation of ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.
• Plan the Implementation of Quality and Safety standards in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.
• Promote training on the theory of Quality, Health and Safety.
• Monitor the team in the implementation of procedures.
• Guarantee the continuous improvement of Quality, Health and Safety;

b) Health and Safety at work and for projects:

• Risk Assessment.
• Elaboration of Safety Procedures and an internal Emergency plan and creation of an Emergency team.
• Supervising and ensuring that our subcontractors (especially civil construction companies) purchase with international practices.
• Develop/revise participation, consultancy and communication procedures.
• Develop accident and incident investigation and reporting procedures.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Integrated management systems: Quality, environment and occupational health and safety.
• Likely to have at least 5-8 years experience.
• Ability to lead teams by being a good and effective communicator including appropriate language and management skills.
• Ability to maintain a high level of organization by ensuring effective job allocation.
• Excellence in planning how each process should be done and how resources are to be acquired.
• Ability to determine potential risks while devising proactive ways to solve them.
• Ability to receive feedback and use it to improve the quality of production.
• Excellence in verbal and oral communication skills.
