Role purpose
Manage compliance of the Project in the following areas, but not limited, permits, Environmental, Health & Safety, Quality, licensing, community liaison, security and Interconnection as and when required. This role is required to be performed maintaining the highest values and in line with company and EDM’s strategic direction for and on behalf of CSM. Also, be involved in all aspects relevant to the project construction phase, while required to work very closely with the construction management team and the construction contractor performing the works, both form a technical and corporate and social responsibility perspective.
One of the further key responsibilities of the compliance manager will be to ensure the project are constructed for SCM by maintain the upmost health and safety standards and approach, while standards such as the IFC Performance Standards are also a requirement as it forms part of the duties of this role.
During the execution phase, the key responsibility is governance of implementation and consolidated reporting.
Therefore, the Compliance Officer will play a key role to ensure the compliance of the project.
