Business Development Manager Full-Time

RINA is seeking to hire a Business Development Manager in the Energy Business Line to be based in Maputo – Mozambique.

The Role:

The Business Development Manager will be a key player in developing and implementing RINA strategies in the Energy, Oil & Gas industries in Mozambique.

Key Duties:

• Identifies and qualifies a robust pipeline of focused opportunities that align with RINA business objectives;
• Participate in sales forecasting and planning in an effective manner by Consistently building and delivering an accurate opportunity pipeline;
• Assisting with executing short and long-range sales and marketing plans;
• Be responsible for sales and business development initiatives: focused on new sales and business opportunities, client visits and management;
• Engage with current and potential customers to discuss and understand their needs and requirements;
• Drive and monitor the order intake pipeline;
• Updating the pipeline with new prospects to be followed up;
• Supporting our focus on customer satisfaction, repeat business and developing new markets;
• Drive and provide support on major contracts, tenders and quotations,
• Drive and support contract closing activities and capture lessons learned;
• Explore opportunities for alliances and partnerships to explore new markets and opportunities;
• Work across the RINA Group developing ‘cross selling’ and mutual opportunities;
• Track competitor activity and providing updates on competitor news and intelligence;
• Stay current with RINA’s current and future offerings and technology solutions, including but not limited to customer-tailored tools and services.

Professional Experience & Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering;
• Demonstrates significant and wide knowledge and experience in project management in the Energy, Oil & Gas industries in Mozambique;
• Background in consulting, with a knowledge of Oil & Gas legal framework in Mozambique, will be considered a plus;
• 5+ years of progressive experience with roles focused on Business Development and Project Management;
• Demonstrate a track-record of cultivating relationships with clients at every level of the organization;
• Experience of preparing quotations, pre-qualifications and tenders;
• Experience in writing, appraising and negotiating detailed contracts and commercial agreements;
• Knowledge and understanding of industry quality requirements (ISO 9001 in particular) and HSE regulations;
• Self-motivated, proactive and open-minded personality;
• Strong business attitude, getting things done;
• Outstanding team-player and capability to work with distributed international teams;
• Demonstrates leadership skills;
• Excellent command of English and Portuguese, both oral and written;
• Must be eligible to work in Mozambique.
