Our International operations offer a wide diversity of scale (10 Mio USD to 200 Mio USD), markets (10% to 80% organized retail), management (fully owned to joint ventures) and cultures (South East Asia, Sub Sahara Africa, UK and LATAM), leading to consequent diversity of business models.

Africa: Rapidol, a strong player in hair color brands was acquired in September 2006 gave an opportunity to enhance its global presence through the Modern Trade Network. Kinky, leading player in dry hair was acquired in April 2008. Tura, one of Nigeria’s leading beauty companies was acquired in June 2010. In June 2011, GCPL acquired a majority stake in pan-African leading hair care company ‘Darling Group Holdings’ that operates in 14 countries across sub-Saharan Africa. Frika Hair was acquired in March 2015, which enjoys premium positioning in the South African hair market since 1998.

Asia: In May 2010, we acquired an Indonesia-based Megasari group operating in a range of household products. GGME established in Sharjah ensures distribution in the Middle East. We also have operations in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Europe: Keyline Brands (now Godrej UK) was acquired by GCPL in October 2005 operating in the toiletries and personal care sector.

South America: Argentina based Issue Group and Argenocs in May and June 2010 (now integrated as Godrej Argentina), has helped GCPL make significant inroads into the hair colors markets of Latin America. In 2012, GCPL acquired 60% stake in Cosmetica Nacional, a market leading hair colors and Cosmetics Company in Chile.

Finance & Accounts :

•  To Manage the entire accounting functions up to the finalization level for presenting a true and fair view of the Monthly , Quarterly & year-ending financial statements.

Taxation & Statutory Compliance.

• To Ensure that timely filing of direct and indirect taxes and returns (Sales Tax, Withholding Tax, Custom Duty, Corporate Tax, Soc. Security of Employee, other local govt. reports) based on the mandatory enactments.

Cash Flow / Fund Flow Management:

•  To Monitor cash flow of HO & Branches and review the cash position and forecast funds required for numerous expenses. Taking adequate measures to ensure timely receipt of payments & disbursement of funds.

Budgets:

•  To Formulate budgets and conducting variance analysis to determine difference between projected & actual results and implementing corrective actions.
• Designing and implementing systems & procedures; To Maintaining and scrutinizing statutory books of accounts viz., journal, ledger, cash / bank book, Accounts Payables & Receivables Accounts, Fixed Asset Register in compliance with time & accuracy norms.

MIS:

•  Monthly MIS as per HO requirement + Various Financial Analysis PPT for Business, Various MIS as per need of business;
• Review the Local branch Accounts : Review and monitor / control the 3 local Branch Accounts.

Audits internal policies & controls:

•  1. Preparing audit schedules/plans and ensuring completion of the same within the stipulated time frame for Branches to support group Quarterly Audits;
• 2. Conducting internal audits and checks system and tax audits for analysing existing systems and procedures and streamlining;
• 3.Implementation of policies & procedures to facilitate internal control;
• 4. Timely Responses to internal audit quarries.

Accounts Receivables:

Payables management Monitoring credit control, debtors ageing and concern reconcilation of AP& AR.

Fixed Asset Management:

• (Controls on FA Tagging / Acquisition / depreciation / deletion/ transfers / written off). Keeping a record of Fixed Asset Register & CWIP capitalization.

Product Costing Review of Product costing & Providing recommendations for pricing through analysing revenue / individual Product Costing’s and margins/ cost lines.

Sales:

•  Commercials Monitor an Invoicing & ATL & BTL (Marketing & Promotion Expenses). Also the various schemes & sales promotion given & tracking thereof;
• Educational background in Finance and accounts ( fresher Chartered Accountant ) who is ready to relocate on a bachelor status (ready to move in as single/not with family).
