Analyst: Forensic Fraud Full-Time

Role purpose:

We are looking for a competent Forensic Fraud Analyst to organize and investigate all fraud operations in the organization. The Investigator will be under forensic mandate while develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain Vodacom/ Vodafone standards

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Implementation of fraud detection controls on Insight Fraud management system and ensure investigations of the FMS alerts are conducted regularly;
•  Ensuring the Fraud risk assessment on new systems and processes rolled out in Vodacom telecom services;
• Measurement and reporting fraud metrics regards to GSM fraud to maintain close working relations with internal and external sources and stakeholders (Billing, Revenue Assurance, Customer Care, Roaming team, Vodacom/Vodafone;
• Forensic Fraud ensure that internal and external investigations are done in accordance with Vodacom policies and procedures (Evidence sourcing, investigations, witness interviews)
• Keeping up to date with all changes in mobile services and fraud detection and prevention practices and ensuring that the business is taking proactive measures to mitigate potential fraud risks;

Key performance indicators:

• Ensure implementation of fraud applications that are fit for purpose, complying with Vodacom best practice and remain cost effective;
• Regularly review the fraud monitoring systems standards and be responsive to changes in the threat environment;
• Ensure that risk assessments are conducted for all Vodacom products and services.
