Accounting Manager Full-Time

Role

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department. Monitoring and analysing accounting data and produce financial reports and financial statements.

Accounting manager responsibilities include also establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analysing, verifying and reporting information. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles.

Temporary replacement of the local General Accounting Manager:

• Managing the General Accounting team, consisting with 5 Personnel;
• Plan, implement and oversee overall accounting strategy;
• Oversee accounting daily operations;
• Monitor and analyze accounting data;
• Set up and monitor accounting KPIs;
• Meet financial accounting objectives;
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles;
• Ensure the accounting books are correctly prepared and reflect the accurate result of the company;
• Review manual journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with the respective Internal Control Bulletin;
• Ensure the Financial statements are prepared on timely manner and reflect the accurate operating results and financial positions of the companies;
• Assist in Internal, external and Tax audits;
• Safeguarding and control of company fixed assets;
• Monthly Financial reporting to Head office;
• General Leader accounts reconciliation;
• Regularly produce financial reports or statements;
• Encourage other employees to adhere to accounting standards;
• Provide recommendations.

Profile

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Finance or Accounting, with experience in Mining or Oil and Gas industries;
• Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager;
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations;
• Direct and supervise, High attention to detail and accuracy;
• Good understanding of EP Business specificities (contractual framework, field operations…);
• Strong interpersonal skills;
• Fluent English mandatory, Portuguese will be highly appreciated.
