Hitachi Construction Machinery (Mozambique) Limitada, Located in Chingodzi – Tete, pretends  contracting  a Supply Chain Manager, to be based in Tete where it opearates to undertake the following functions:

Summary/Objective

The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) position with the support President / MD will be responsible for aligning business objectives. As a supply chain manager, you’ll oversee and manage every stage of the production flow, from purchasing the raw materials to the delivery of the final product. He’ll ensure the right amount of stock is made available at the right time, as well as coordinate the storage of the parts. The successful SC Manager will act as a company’s champion and supply chain change agent. The role assesses and anticipates the company’s related needs. Communicating and procuring needs proactively with other stakeholders and seeks to effective integrated business solutions. This position will formulate partnerships across department to deliver value-added service to management that reflects the HCMQ missions, values and objectives.

Supply Chain Manager Job Responsibilities

• Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams.
• Handle clearance and logistics activities of the exports and import.
• Stock forecast, stock management and warehousing management.
• Liaising with site for parts analysing and availability hence ensuring solution.
• Suggest solutions for SCM process improvements.
• Identify stock process and implement solutions in a timely manner.
• Discuss with client contractual aspects hence ensuring good repour.
• Procuring, analyse and handle buying/purchasing process.
• Ensure payments of the suppliers in timely manner.
• Work with finance, sales, and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributors.
• Build and maintain good relationships with vendors.
• Develops appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.
• Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Directs and coordinates global supply chain functions through strategy, resource optimization, profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction.
• Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.
• Works with site, warehouse, and logistics departments to determine and set up intercompany reconciliation and transfers.
• Works directly with sales department to determine most cost-effective distribution solution for finished goods transportation to customers.
• Monitors and corrects inventory levels at outside warehouses and internally to ensure rotation and maximize working capital.
• Works with freight forwards and transportation companies to set best route and rate (reviews and approves all freight terms and agreements).
• Collaborates with procurement department to determine best practice for freight in and freight consolidation.
• Supports proper utilization of Dynamics system.
• Assist logistics and warehouse team process for the import and export of products, inventory maintenance, manufacturing, shipment and delivery, and returns on products.
• Keep detailed records, generate reports, and develop presentations to help management understand the logistics perspective.

Supply Chain Manager requirements and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain management, or related field.
• Ability to manage logistics of all aspects of supply chain, from abroad to Mozambique.
• Understanding of accounting or finance.
• Previous working experience as a Supply Chain Manager for 10 years
• Hands on experience with supply chain management software (such as dynamics.)
• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success.

• Team player.
• Good management presentation skills.
• Strong communication skills and the desire to build lasting relationships with people all over the world.
