IOM Mozambique is hiring a National Project Officer (Peace Building) based in Pemba. (Reference No: SVN/MZ10/2021/026)
IOM Mozambique is implementing a Community Engagement and Policing (CEP) project that seeks to strengthen community security and stability in communities affected by violence in the Northern Region of Mozambique through police capacity building and community engagement. The objective of the intervention is to contribute to building resilience to violence in communities and increase law enforcement’s positive relationships with communities in Cabo Delgado.
The activities are planned to be implemented across multiple districts and communities, and will require significant coordination, networking, and liaising responsibilities in addition to technical, operational and management oversight.

Internal candidates on regular or fixed-term contracts should meet the minimum time in post requirement of eighteen months or more at the time of the closing of the SVN.
The minimum time in post requirement is six months for such internal candidates who are incumbents of a position being advertised or confirmed for discontinuation.
Internal candidates on short-term contracts should meet the minimum time in post requirement of six months or more at the time of the closing of the SVN.
In addition, all applicants should meet eligibility requirements for languages, education and work experience requirements stipulated in the SVN.
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Programme and Operations, the administrative supervision of the Head of Sub Office Pemba, and the direct supervision of the Programme Manager (Immigration and Border Management (IBM)) the successful candidate will support the implementation and monitoring of IOM Mozambique’s Community Engagement and Policing (CEP) program and projects in the Northern region of Mozambique. The position will be based in Pemba, Cabo Delgado.
