Official Visits and Corporate Events Coordinator
The Visit and Events Coordinator is responsible for every aspect of a corporate event, from choosing the most appropriate venue, to evaluating success afterwards. Events can conferences, workshops, recruitment fairs, trade exhibitions, etc.
Reports to: Maputo Office Manager
Work Location: Maputo
Degree in Hospitality Management, Public Relations or other relevant qualification;
Proven experience as a corporate events coordinator;
A proven track record of organizing successful corporate events;
Proficient in MS Office;
Excellent vendor management skills;
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills;
Well-organized with multi-tasking skills;
Able to handle stress and remain calm in every situation;
Must speak, read and write English and Portuguese fluently.
Understand requirements for each event;
Plan each event with attention to budget and time constraints;
Book transport, venues, visit accommodation and schedule speakers;
Research vendors (catering, decorators, performers, etc.) and choose the best combination of quality and cost;
Manage all event operations (preparing venue, invitations, projectors, etc.);
Do final checks at the day of the event (e.g. tables, technology) to ensure everything meets standards;
Oversee event happenings and act quickly to resolve problems;
Evaluate event’s success and submit reports.
