Marketing Assistant Full-Time

Global Edge is hiring a Marketing Assistant, based in Maputo.

Global Edge is an international recruitment and manpower agency with presence in Mozambique since 2014. We provide technical and project personnel to clients in diverse sectors such as Oil & Gas, Energy, Infrastructure and Services sectors

We’ve experienced phenomenal growth this year and are growing our team to support it further by recruiting a Marketing Assistant to be based in Maputo.

The role of the Marketing Assistant is to provide support to other marketing team members. The role plays an important part in ensuring that the company brand is presented consistently, campaigns are delivered to deadline, and that the company remains visible in the market.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the development and distribution of marketing and promotional material;
• Contributing to internal reports;
• Creating content for social media channels;
• Responding to marketing queries via phone, email or social media;
• Liaising and strengthening relationships with suppliers;
• Identifying possible partnerships with local businesses to expand marketing visibility;
• Translation of job descriptions and documents;
• Uploading contacts and CVs to database;
• Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities;
• Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings etc.);
• Assist in the organizing of promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns and attend them to facilitate their success

Candidate Profile/ Requirements:

• Mozambican nationality;
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Journalism, Communication, Business Administration or Management;
• Fluent in English and Portuguese;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Attention to detail;
• A high degree of organization;
• Capacity to work independently;
• Ability to constantly improve and optimize.
