Currently looking for Logistic Coordinator to work rotation in Mozambique for major energy project.
Job Responsibilities
Participate and promote the Contractor behavioural based safety program;
Work collaboratively and establish proactive engagement with other members of the project management team focussing upon logistics execution, logistic and expediting methodologies and planning to accomplish project objectives;
Interface and oversight of the EPC Contractor’s and support the Logistics and Ground Transport functional managements in the strategic delivery of all Logistics functions and Marine Operations;
Support the development and implementation of the Company Project Logistics strategy;
Build relationships with Company onsite EPC Contractors and Sub-Contractors;
Monitor and report on the performance of the Contractors Logistics implementation strategy;
Engage with key stakeholders to develop and/or review Logistics Plans, procedures and processes. Verify compliance to Contract requirements and inform project management of major findings;
Ensure compliance with all Company Import and Duty Exemption processes;
In conjunction with the Logistics / Ground Transport Manger ensure that Logistics Operations and Services meets the needs of the business;
Evaluate and report on any non-conforming requirements and help manage through to resolution;
Attend execution reviews to ensure understanding of work scope and execution requirements and constraints associated with supply chain logistics, customs, import requirements;
Prepare weekly reports and consult with project control personnel on dashboards and reporting requirements for the works. Assist with forecast efforts for estimating delivery dates of critical components / activities;
Coordinate with C&P and Construction team, define and coordinate logistic / expediting related information;
Execute assignments or special projects at the request of the Ground Transport / Logistics Manager Project Manager;
Participate / lead logistic / expediting related workshops among peers to gather improvement initiatives and lessons learned opportunities.
Requirements for the Candidates
Diploma or vocational training or equivalent in a suitable discipline or subject;
Minimum of 5 years of experience;
Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical, mining, heavy industry or process industry preferred;
Experience in supply chain, logistics or construction preferred;
Understanding of Change Management;
Ability to analyse, evaluate and present findings / recommendations;
Strong expediting background with appreciation of commercial and contracting requirements;
Ability to communicate effectively and stay informed on important issues and progress to remain current and a vital resource to the project;
Computer literate on Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet required;
Skills in at least one specialist application preferred: Access, MS Project, Visio, Maximo or SAP-PM/KM/MM, etc.
