The International Organization for Migration (IOM), the UN Migration Agency is a dynamic and growing inter-governmental organization, with 172 member states. Established in 1951 and now active in over 440 field locations worldwide, IOM works with partners, government and civil society to promote international cooperation to address operational challenges of migration and mobility, assist in the search for practical solutions to migration problems, and to provide humanitarian assistance to migrants in need, including refugees and internally displaced people. IOM’s Migration Health programmes address the health needs of individual migrants as well as the public health needs of transit and host communities by assisting governmental and non-governmental partners in the development and implementation of relevant policies and programmes. Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM), the direct supervision of the Programme Manager (Migration Health) in Mozambique, and in coordination with the relevant units at Headquarters (HQs) and the Regional Office (RO), the successful candidate will support and coordinate project planning, implementation, reporting, and have overall responsibility for implementing the monitoring and evaluation activities of projects under the Migration Health Division (MHD) and contribute to portfolio development.
