Qualifications (Education, Experience and skills):
Education and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree not essential, but preferred;
Experience: A minimum of seven (5) years’ experience in Customer Services and HR / Admin, preferably with previous exposure to the oil and gas industry;
Languages: English and Portuguese, fluent (MUST HAVE);
Knowledge/experience rules and process for hiring of foreign nationals.
Responsibilitities and essential duties:
HR Coordination
Ensure right implementation and propose improvements to processes and procedures to ensure provision of a superior customer service to our clients and site-based contractors;
Be the first point of contact on site and provide a friendly interface for both local and expat contractors; engage in general conversations regarding travel, accommodation, work conditions and agency service to ascertain level of satisfaction;
Spot, register and promptly inform the Account Manager(s) regarding any issue or concern raised by contractors;
Liaise with Client site based HRBP and Support Services regarding onboarding of new contractors, site procedures, PO renewal, salary negotiations; attend weekly meetings; address any contractors HSE non-compliance or behavioral issues, coordinate disciplinary proceedings and advise on potential labour disputes;
Collect local contractors Timesheets, register absences and O/T, forward to Maputo for Payroll processing;
Distribute collect signed copies of payslips, answer queries regarding payroll deductions;
Process leave requests from local contractors;
Managing the hiring and onboarding process for casual workers;
General Office management and filing (including employee personnel files);
Prepare quarterly reports to be submitted to the Ministry of Labour (MoL).
Legal / Institutional relationship
Attend meetings with local public and private institutions (Provincial Governor, Directorates, Trade Unions, Universities, etc.) both on-site and in Pemba.
