ChildFund International is a global organization whose vision is a world in which all children realize their rights and achieve their potential. The organization was founded in 1938 and has since expanded to 24 program countries, 265 local Partners with over 10.5 million lives have been changed. The Organization was established in Mozambique in 2005.
The core intent of ChildFund Mozambique is to ensure that (a) deprived, excluded and vulnerable children have the capacity to improve their lives and the opportunity to become young adults, parents and leaders who bring lasting and positive change to their communities; and (b) promote societies whose individuals and institutions participate in valuing, protecting and advancing the worth and rights of children. ChildFundl’s RPP-PM (Responsive and Protective Parenting Program Model) is designed to support infants and young children (IYC) (0-5) realize age-appropriate holistic development milestones4 and well-being across the components of the Nurturing Care Framework5. The model seeks to do so by strengthening the capacity of local partners (LP)/community-based organizations (CBOs) and Sub-National Government Partners, local stakeholders, and caregivers.
