Job Summary:
IEC lead will lead the conceptualization, design, development and production of a range of information, education and (IEC) materials (printed; audio-visual; audio; visual; awareness events; innovative ideas) to form an integrated part of all aspects of the Mozambique LNG Project’s stakeholder engagement programme, particularly the community engagement programme. The IEC lead will facilitate the operationalization of the IEC Unit as part of the Stakeholder Engagement Planning and Content Development Function.
Job Responsibilities:
Conceptualize, design, develop, produce and disseminate information, education and communication (IEC) materials (printed; audio-visual; audio; visual; awareness events; innovative ideas) as part of the Mozambique LNG Project’s stakeholder engagement programme;
Develop layout, design and produce information, education and communication materials on various aspects of the Project, Project programmes and thematic interventions;
Facilitate operationalization of the IEC Unit as part of the Stakeholder Engagement Planning and Content Development Function;
Conceptualize and propose IEC materials (printed; audio-visual; audio; visual; awareness events; etc.) for the Mozambique LNG Project, covering a variety of themes and topics: technical, non-technical and development focused, as identified on an ongoing basis in close consultation with the Stakeholder Engagement Planning & Content Development team and other relevant;
Analyse the key characteristics and information needs of the target audience(s), their interests and engagement and communication preferences, as well as the kinds of materials the audience will respond to.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have five years of experience in designing and developing IEC materials with relative content to that indicated in Job Description;
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in visual studies or graphic design, or related social sciences with experience in IEC materials development;
Proficiency in the use of graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop) or alternatives (GIMP, Inkscape, CorelDraw, Serif Drawplus, Xara Xtreme, etc.);
Submission of portfolio and samples of work required;
Very good written and verbal command of English and Portuguese (if any, other than English).
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position based at the Afungi Pioneer camp on a rotational schedule.
