Epiroc is recruiting a Business Development Manager.
Main Responsibilities or Functions of the Job (describe Major Responsibilities)
To manage and develop the MR businesses within Mozambique;
To develop and implement the approved business plan;
To establish a stabilised organisation and ensure that growth and consolidated profit is in line with Division requirements;
Grow the business to establish MR as leaders in the specified market sector;
Maximise the output in terms of invoiced sales turnover and profit level through:
Establishing pricing policies throughout Mozambique;
Establishing discount control and promotional activities;
Establishing the correct market channels & to support and develop those channels managing working capital to ensure optimal results through;
Ensuring receivables are in line with company requirements;
Control of stock levels to agreed goals whilst optimising sales potential developing and implementing of a Sales and Parts & Service team through a structured territory management business plan.
Plan objectives and strategies to achieve the required targets through the Sales and Service Personnel;
To ensure optimal Parts & Service coverage across Mozambique;
To contribute to brand strategy and identify solutions to potential issues;
To provide marketing direction in order to enhance product profiles in Mozambique;
To maintain communication across the Sales / Service teams in order to develop the business;
To actively participate in the Management team;
To carry out additional duties as may become necessary to ensure the successful operation of the company;
To undertake adhoc project work and perform related duties as required in line with the Companies requirements as specified in ‘The Epiroc Way’.
Educational Qualification
University degree in Mining or equivalent;
Experience in the Mining industry.
Required Skills and Capabilities
Proven track record in sales and marketing;
High level of technical knowledge for Mining/earthmoving equipment;
High level of Product knowledge for Epiroc Mining equipment;
High level of planning and organisational skills;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Proven ability to implement and develop strong sales & service teams;
Proven ability to build strong and effective working relationships with customers and colleagues;
Good presentation skills;
Strong commitment to the Epiroc business ethics policy;
Bilingual – Portuguese & English.
Experience
Experience of managing and motivating a team;
Proven leadership ability;
Ability to specify the correct machine for any given customer application.
Personality Requirements
A positive attitude and a vibrant personality;
Must be customer orientated;
Must be prepared to travel extensively within Mozambique;
Must be self-driven and able to work independently and as a team member.
