Develops, maintains, and updates the credit risk governance framework;
Manages risk infrastructure;
Manages risk integration and links between risks;
Identifies and resolves material credit risk issues;
Develops continuous monitoring and improvement of the quality of the organization’s credit and lending portfolio through credit policy direction and implementation;
Designs sustainable processes to mitigate credit risk by framing the breadth and depth of control testing, evaluating business operations, participating in the evaluation of new products and business opportunities;
Ensure all credit exposure complies with credit policies, procedures, standards and required capital provisions;
Develop Analytical processes and procedures to identify risk and opportunities in the origination stream and portfolio;
Provides clear and objective guidance to management and comprehensive summary reports to the appropriate committees;
Provides regular review and analysis of portfolio trends to detect deterioration in portfolio quality;
Preparation of concentration reports and such other reports deemed necessary to convey loan, portfolio and third-party relationship risks to management and the board.
Educational Requirements
Minimum
Bachelor’s Degree in finance, Accounting, Banking or related field;
Fluent in Portuguese.
Preferred
Chartered Accountant;
Master’s degree in finance, Accounting or MBA.
Experience
5 Years of financial industry experience;
Extensive Credit experience in a micro-finance/ financial institution for at 5 years;
Minimum of 3 years’ experience at both operational and senior management levels.
